The Emergency Department of William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician for a faculty position.

William Beaumont Hospital is a 1066-bed suburban teaching hospital whose emergency department serves 120,000 per year, of which approximately 27,000 are pediatric patients. Emergency Medicine has departmental status in Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.
The candidate will be joining 8 PEM physicians and 37 EM physicians as the department continues to grow. Responsibilities will include patient care in the Pediatric Emergency Department as well as all activities consistent with the appropriate job description. Faculty are encouraged to participate in the academic endeavors of the division. In addition to direct supervision of emergency care, all faculty members participate in the instruction of medical students, residents (pediatrics, emergency medicine, and family medicine) and fellows. The 24 hours a day PEM service provides care to a rapidly growing, diverse community.
The Children’s Hospital at Beaumont is recognized by the National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI) as a children’s hospital within a hospital, and provides referral and specialty care for 100,000 children per year. There are fellowship trained pediatric subspecialists in nearly all specialties.
Candidates should be board certified/board eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Those dual certified in Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics will also be considered. Extremely competitive salary is available.
