Pediatric Emergency Medicine
ApolloMD, a well-established local group, seeks BC/BP Pediatricians for our Pediatric Emergency Departments at WellStar Hospital System in the ATLANTA suburbs. The WellStar Hospital system treats approximately 65,000 pediatric patients per year between three Pediatric ED's located at WellStar Cobb Hospital, Austell; WellStar Kennestone Hospital, Marietta; and WellStar Douglas Hospital in Douglasville, GA. WellStar Paulding Hospital in Dallas, GA will be opening a new Pediatric ER with the opening of the new hospital in April 2014.
WellStar Cobb Hospital's PED ER has a separate 13-bed ED within a community based hospital with dedicated a pediatric nursing staff. The PEDS ED is staffed with Pediatricians from 9a-3a daily. WellStar Kennestone Hospital's PED ER has a separate 10-bed ED within a Level II trauma center with dedicated pediatric nursing and ancillary staff. The PEDS ED is open 24/7. WellStar Douglas Hospital's PED ER is open Monday - Friday from 4pm - 12 midnight and weekends from 11 am - 11 pm. The new dedicated PEDS ED at WellStar Paulding Hospital will open on April 1st 2014 from 11am-11pm daily and will be staffed with Pediatricians and dedicated pediatric nursing and ancillary staff.
