We are proud to announce the inaugural Children’s Preparedness Conference to be held at the Medical College of Wisconsin (Milwaukee) on 6 June 2014. This one-day conference sponsored by Wisconsin Emergency Medical Services for Children and Wisconsin Hospital Emergency Preparedness Program is appropriate for both clinical providers and administrators who have responsibility for or are interested in planning for and delivering pediatric disaster care.
Topics will include Lessons Learned from the Boston Marathon Bombing, Addressing Pediatric-Specific Disaster Issues, Family Reunification, Blast Injury, and Radiation Injury and will be delivered by representatives from several national agencies (National Disaster Medical Systems, FEMA, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and Department of Homeland Security).
Speakers will include Dr. Andy Garrett, Office of the Director of the National Disaster Medical System; Dr. Sarita Chung, Boston Children’s Hospital; Dr. Jeffry Stiefel, Department of Homeland Security; Richard Serio, former Deputy Administrator of FEMA.
$50 registration fee, up to 6 hours of Continuing Medical Education available, lunch provided, conference hotel rates available.
