specialist in Pediatric Emergency Medicine to join our growing Division. We
will have a full complement of PEM physicians for 24/7 coverage in July
Special attention is paid to faculty career development, with formal
faculty development program in place and opportunities to be involved in
the future fellowship administration (including a fellowship director),
teaching, clinical operations, EMS, research, community outreach, clinical
simulation, pain management and ultrasound.

Stony Brook University Medical Center is a Level I Trauma Center and a
regional Burn Center with a growing volume of 23,000 pediatric visits per
year. The Pediatric Emergency Department is the primary training site for
the Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, and Family Medicine Residency
programs. It also hosts clerkships and elective rotations for medical
students as well as Paramedics training program. The Departments of
Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine have long standing track records in both
basic science and clinical research.
