Do any of you have a protocol for evaluation of pediatric sexual assault in
the Emergency dept?
Also, if anyone has a good lecture on the topic I would appreciate it. I
am particularly interested in the recommendations concerning where and how
evidence should be collected. Is sedation recommended? Ideally, should
exams be performed in the emergency dept or outside of emergency dept?
What is the optimal environment and what are the optimal conditions for the
potentially invasive exam.
