While purposefully cryptic and playful, my posting on albuterol was not
intended to increase the prevalence of hemorrhagic stroke amongst
hospitalists and disciples of the Church of EBM. So let me clarify.

To paraphrase Cervantes, the abolition of albuterol for empiric use of the
acute presentation of undifferentiated respiratory distress with wheeze in
infants is 'swinging at windmills'. You may as well write a guideline that
abolishes acetaminophen for fever.

Also, I confess that after 20 plus years in the pit, my favorite philospher
is Nietzsche - to paraphrase -

 "... Conviction is a greater threat to the truth, than lies...",

and my favorite medical thinker is Dr. Joe Ioannidis who published...
