The Department of Emergency Medicine (EM) at Penn State Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Pediatric EM-trained, board-certified physician to join our faculty.
Located in beautiful Hershey, PA, our ED cares for >70,000 annual encounters, of which approximately 20,000 are pediatric patients, in a dynamic, high acuity emergency service, with EM and Pediatric residents and 18+ hrs/day of advanced practice clinician support. Research and educational missions are critically important, as is providing outstanding patient care, and providing opportunities for integrated faculty development. Our unique environment includes award winning public schools, Broadway plays, professional sports, national performers, and outdoor recreation in your traffic-free backyard.
Assets include the EM residency program (24 residents), integrated Life Lion flight and ground EMS, outstanding clinical computerization, and extramurally-funded research programs. We are the only Level I Pediatric Trauma Center in central PA. A brand new state of the art Children’s Hospital opened 18 months ago which includes an 18 bed PICU and an 18 bed IMC unit as well as an Oncology unit and a general Pediatric unit. We are currently in the process of an ED Redesign Expansion Project which will include a new pediatric emergency department.
Consider adding yourself to 27 other EM-boarded faculty, including four Pediatric EM physicians, to complement our group and your career.
