The Massachusetts Historical Society is seeking a full-time assistant editor to help the Society complete its edition of the Robert Treat Paine Papers. The editorís work will include traditional documentary editing quality assurance (transcription collation, note verification, copyediting) and print production management as well as encoding in TEI; the position will provide a historian new to the documentary editing field with an opportunity to learn best practices in many aspects of the work. It is a one year grant-funded position with the possibility of renewal for each subsequent year of the project, for up to three years total. Please see the full description here, at the MHS website:
