The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at NY Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medicine seeks a BC/BE Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician for full time or part time position to join our young and enthusiastic group of 16 PEM faculty.
NYP-Weill Cornell, the teaching hospital for Weill Cornell Medicine:
-Is a busy urban academic institution located in the residential Upper East Side of Manhattan.
-We care for a rapidly growing, highly complex and diverse pediatric population, with an emphasis on a family-centered approach.
-We have a robust and expanding inpatient service, a 23-bed pediatric critical care unit, and support by all pediatric and surgical subspecialties.
Our faculty also staffs the newly established Pediatric ED at NYP-Lower Manhattan Hospital, a community hospital serving lower Manhattan, including the Financial District, Tribeca, Battery Park City, Chinatown, Little Italy and the Lower East Side. This area is recognized as one of the fastest growing and most diverse residential communities in New York City.
Our ACGME-accredited PEM fellowship is rolling out a new global health track for the upcoming year. Faculty candidates with experience or interest in fellowship education or global health are encouraged to apply.
We teach in both bedside and didactic venues.
-Pediatric and Emergency Medicine residents
-Physician assistant and nurse practitioner residents
-Cornell medical and PA students
Our PEM faculty has opportunity and support to expand their personal interests in areas such as education, simulation, ultrasound, research, community outreach, global health, ED operations, quality improvement and patient safety.
