Great opportunity in Los Angeles! Children's Hospital Los Angeles and the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California are seeking 2 full time Pediatric Emergency Medicine physicians to join our staff in the Division of Emergency and Transport Medicine. The Emergency Department (ED) sees a large volume of patients suffering from rare to common to life-threatening diseases and a vast spectrum of traumatic injuries. The attending staff is a stable, energetic group of physicians dedicated to the teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, including 10 rotating programs, and 9 PEM fellows.
The ED has approximately 35 active research studies, an Ultrasound fellowship and a large educational program for residents, PEM fellows and attending physicians.
CHLA has a 347-bed tertiary state of the art acute care and referral center. The ED is a designated Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and PCCC and sees approximately 85,000 patients annually. The Emergency Transport Program arranges for and transports 3,000 patients, including 1,500 team transports, annually.
