Academic Pediatric Emergency Physician

Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children's Hospital is seeking an attending physician to join the Department of Emergency Medicine, Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. The Children's hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center, an active contributor to PECARN and has had a PEM Fellowship since 1988. The hospital has an annual census that exceeds 52,000 visits. The successful candidate must qualify for a full-time medical faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Minimum requirements include: 1.) Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship training, 2.) BC/BE in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, 3.) interest and experience in teaching and/or conducting research in an area of pediatric emergency medicine and 4.) meets the requirements for and obtain Rhode Island Medical Licensure and clinical privileges in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children's Hospital are required. Preferred requirements include: Demonstrated expertise in an area within Pediatric Emergency Medicine, including participation in curriculum development, teaching, laboratory or clinical research.
