The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine /Children’s Hospital of Richmond is recruiting a BC/BE pediatric emergency medicine physician with a strong interest in education, to join our growing PEM faculty group.
As our division expands, there is a strong focus on faculty academic development and scholarship and opportunities in clinical/educational research, simulation, and quality improvement. Expertise/interest in PEM ultrasound is highly desirable.
Our Pediatric ED is the regions only ACS verified Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and burn center, and serves approximately 25,000 children annually. Faculty supervise and teach PEM fellows, Residents (EM/EM-IM/Peds/Med-Peds), medical students and APPs.
Academic appointment is in the Department of Emergency Medicine with a secondary appointment in the Department of Pediatrics. Academic rank is determined by credentials. Compensation and benefits are extremely competitive.
