Seasons greetings, I was wondering what the group is doing in terms of bronchiolitis.
Admit all patients under the age of two months?
Anyone knows when the risk of apnea is? Is it before the onset of illness, during the illness? Just 48 weeks post conceptual age?
The reason I ask this is the following:
2 week old cough and congestion, afebrile looks fantastic. Send home? Send RSV if positive admit? If neg send home? Who cares just admit without ordering anything? Age cut off less than 2 months more than 4 weeks? Depends on the PE and VS
Admit all infants with cough and congestion less than 48 weeks post conceptual age?
Thank you looking for guidance
