PM Pediatrics is excited to announce that we are currently accepting
applications for our Fellowship in Pediatric Urgent Care! Available
positions include New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Maryland.
Our fellowship began in 2012 as the *first of its kind*. Since that time,
we have graduated numerous fellows who have gone on to thriving careers in
the field of pediatric urgent care medicine. Currently, we have eight
fellows across multiple locations.
This fellowship is an innovative and academic one-year program designed to
develop physician leaders in the field of pediatric urgent care medicine.
Through direct experience in our pediatric urgent care offices,
subspecialty electives, and lectures/workshops/academics, we bridge the gap
from pediatric resident to expert provider in pediatric urgent care. This
fellowship offers a fast-track opportunity to leadership positions within
PM Pediatrics, which is currently the largest provider of pediatric urgent
care in the country. We also have an accelerated fellowship track for
experienced pediatricians looking to switch careers.
PM Pediatrics was founded in 2005 to create an alternative to the emergency
department for most after-hours visits. Our medical staff is led by a core
group of >50 pediatric emergency physicians from many academic centers,
making us one of the largest groups in the country. Our staff is
complemented by general pediatricians, nurse practitioners and physician
assistants, and a wide array of clinical staff including registered nurses,
radiology technicians, and medical assistants. Plastic surgeons,
orthopedists, and radiologists are available on-site as consultants.
All PM Pediatrics locations have on-site digital x-ray, ECG and a
comprehensive laboratory which, in combination with the experience of our
clinicians, allow us to evaluate and treat high acuity patients. In 2018,
we will see well over 400,000 patients, including our 2 millionth patient
PM Pediatrics has a strong focus on academics and evidence-based medicine,
influenced by our outstanding group of Pediatric Emergency Medicine-trained
physicians. We have over 20 practice guidelines which are reinforced with
CME-accredited monthly didactics. We also host regional and national
conferences, including our yearly Pediatric Urgent Care Conference which
attracts attendees from across the US and the world (www.pucconference.com).
PM Pediatrics has a growing research department that uses cutting-edge
analytics software to study the hundreds of thousands of patients we see
