The Department of Emergency Medicine at the Floating Hospital for Children / Tufts Medical Center, the principal teaching hospital for Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, is seeking a BP/BC Pediatric Emergency Physician to join our dynamic, independent group of residency trained, board certified emergency physicians and pediatric emergency physicians. The Department currently offers a variety of clinical and educational programs with emphasis on resident and medical student education. Our unexpected opening is a rare opportunity. Consideration will also be given to applicants interested in part time or per diem work. We are an independent, very stable group of 20 general and pediatric emergency physicians providing outstanding care and caring to the patients and families we serve in downtown Boston. We have an excellent working relationship with our pediatric hospitalists, pediatric specialists, NICU and PICU colleagues. In addition to our excellent nursing support, we are proud to have the most extensive child-life coverage of any pediatric ED in the region.
Excellent opportunities exist for administrative, educational, advocacy, community-based and academic pursuits. Interest in teaching is important, as our trainees include pediatric and emergency medicine residents, as well as medical students. Our pediatric emergency physicians routinely receive teaching awards from both pediatric and emergency medicine residency programs.This position requires day/evening time, but no overnights.
Academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine is commensurate with experience. Salary is very competitive and benefits are excellent.
