Jackson Health System (JHS) in Miami Florida is looking for Pediatric Emergency Medicine trained physicians as JHS expands Pediatric Emergency Medicine services across the system. Initially, the candidates will spend approximately 75% of their shifts at a new Pediatric ED in Jackson North Medical center and 25% of their shifts at Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Holtz Women and Children’s Emergency Department. Jackson Memorial Hospital is the main teaching facility for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Physicians will be working with family medicine, pediatric, med-peds and emergency medicine residents at Holtz while Jackson North may have residents in the near future. Jackson North Medical Center has a census of approximately 10,000 pediatric visits per year and has a separate Pediatric ED area with 8 beds that will be staffed by pediatric nurses and techs. The Pediatric ED will initially be open twelve hours a day, noon to midnight. Jackson North Medical Center has a level 2 NICU but no other pediatric services at this time. All Pediatric subspecialists are available at Holtz Women and Children’s Hospital for consult or admissions. There will plenty of opportunities for academic growth if so desired. Compensations and benefits for the position through JHS are excellent, and adult and pediatric EM physicians are compensated at the same rate.
Please contact me with any questions.
We will sponsor J1 visits for eligible/desirable applicants
