I know that people have had varied experience with ketamine, but we have
had a good deal of success with it, especially in the lower doses. It has
relatively rapid onset and offset. In children over 3-4 y/o we will add
midazolam. We certainly haven't been having the delays leaving the ED
that has been seen with commonly used 3-7 mg/kg doses.
