I am not sure of the rationale, but in the 1999 PDR it notes that atrovent-
ipratropium bromide- via metered dose inhalation should not be given to
patients with a peanut allergy but it does not mention this under atrovent
nebulization. Is it possible that in the atrovent mdi their is a propellant
that cross reacts with a chemical in peanuts?
