I agree that this is a very common conception of Christianity by
non-Christians. One of the running themes of the portion of my website
called "The Game of Signatures" is to dispel that perception.


"All things are lawful but not all things are beneficial. All things are
lawful but not all things are constructive" (1 Corinthians 10:23)

Freedom from law is probably the second most dominant theme in the
letters of Paul. The first being the Resurrection.
