My mom knew the Bible (Old Testament and New Testament)
extremely thoroughly, and could quote it -- and cite her quotes
by book, chapter, and verse -- to contradict any statement that
anybody might make about the will of God or Jesus' teachings.
(Needless to say, she didn't raise us kids to be Christians.)
