Right.  OJ, being sweet but not carbonated, is outside the prototypical
definition of "soft drink", but is still in the penumbra of the concept.
Ditto, say, quinine water (carbonated but not sweet).  Mineral water
would be a still more marginal instance of a soft drink, and plain
tap water and milk are probably outside altogether.

Of course, as you noted earlier, anything alcoholic is definitely out.
