I agree, although I have absolutely no objection to somebody starting a
"high-tech" whatever in addition, for those who would be able to use it
(unfortunately not me).
I should also point out that some list members are limited to computers
over which they have no control (I had to use the public library for a
couple of months), or old machines that can't run the new stuff.
On the other hand, a pure email system with no archives wouldn't work for
me. In my case (am I allowed to use "case" like that?), also, I can only
read my mail with webmail, which is very slow, so I use the listserv web
interface.
Whatever. Sorry for rambling, but this is a "community" thing so I thought
I should speak up.
