It strikes me that the reason might be that the collateral spelling in
fact is an other language variety. You skip final -e in certain
instances. And the rules are, as far as I am concerned, quite
complicated.

I for one generally skip the h after t and r and use f for ph.

For me there is "filosofia, ortografia and rapsodia" in Interlingua.
