The Division of Emergency Medicine at Children's Hospital Boston is

faculty with board certification/eligibility in Pediatric Emergency
Medicine.   These 

positions are primarily suited for physicians pursuing a clinical career
with a desire to 

join a large, professionally  diverse group of academic pediatric
emergency physicians.


The positions available are based in the pediatric emergency departments
of affiliated 

general hospitals in the  Boston suburbs.  Currently, the Division
provides pediatric 

emergency care at the following hospitals: Beverly Hospital, MetroWest
Medical Center, 

Caritas Norwood Hospital, South Shore Hospital, and Winchester Hospital.

Clinical coverage includes evenings and weekends but not overnights.
For all positions, 

at least 10% of clinical shifts occurs in the Children's Hospital Boston



Faculty receive an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School.

all pediatric emergency medicine faculty are expected to participate in

educational programs within the division.  There is also ample
opportunity to engage in

research, either independently or with a mentor.


The Division consists of 72 faculty members and 16 fellows.   Areas of

concentration include infectious emergenciess, the pathophysiology of
septic shock, 

medical toxicology, trauma, informatics, and the genetic basis of
