                  Department of Emergency Medicine - Pediatric Emergency
Medicine Positions Available









The Department of Emergency Medicine at Stony Brook University Medical
Center is seeking specialists in Pediatric Emergency Medicine to join the
faculty.  Academic rank and salary will be offered commensurate with
experience and achievement.  Interested individuals should be board
eligible/certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and interested in
pursuing an academic career in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.

Stony Brook University Medical Center is a state-designated Level 1 trauma
center that cares for 17,000 pediatric patients per year.  The Department
of Emergency Medicine is the primary educational site for the Stony Brook
Emergency Medicine Residency Program and hosts rotations for the Stony
Brook School of Medicine students and several residency programs including
family medicine and pediatrics.  In addition, the department has a
long-standing track record in both basic and clinical research.  Faculty
responsibilities will include a mixture of clinical, academic and research
service.

The Emergency Department is currently in the process of expansion and will
include a state-of-the art Pediatric Emergency Department with plans for a
fellowship program in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.  Competitive
