Director, Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship
 
The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at The New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens (NYHQ), a major affiliate of the NY Presbyterian Health Network, is seeking a Director for the newly proposed Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship. The Director will be responsible for the ACGME application, implementation and organization of this fellowship, with the full support from the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics.
 
NYHQ is a Level 1 Trauma center that evaluates and treats over 95,000 patients annually who come from extremely diverse backgrounds.  The Pediatric Emergency Department is a physically separate, newly designed, spacious, 15 bed, state of the art facility that evaluates and treats 25,000 patients per year.  The Pediatric ED is staffed 24/7 by Pediatric EM trained attendings, with double coverage for 12 hours by pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Emergency Medicine physicians. Additionally, our emergency medicine residents staff the Pediatric ED 24/7, along with medical, nursing, paramedic and PA students.  The hospital also has a newly renovated 20 bed pediatric inpatient unit with a 5 bed PICU staffed by Pediatric Intensivists and a full compliment of pediatric subspecialists. 
 
Compensation and benefits are commensurate with experience and are very competitive. Protected time is available.
 
Applicants must be PEM board Certified. We offer an extremely competitive salary and benefits package including protected time and support. Academic appointment at Cornell will be commensurate with experience and academic credentials.
