JAy,
Memphis is a city of about 350,000 with a service area of 1.5 million.
The only two hospitals that take kids are Lebonheur and Baptist East. East
has a PEDs ED ( sort of) but no ICU and no surgical back up. SO anything
acute really comes to us. NO criteria really needed. By and large we get all
the kids under 15 with serious trauma or medical problems.
