 Portland, OR / Vancouver, WA

Peds EM positions available in beautiful, green Portland, OR and
Vancouver, WA. BCBE PEM physicians will be part of a PEM team serving
both The Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel in Portland, and our
rapidly growing, dedicated Peds ED in a 3 year old state-of-the-art
suburban hospital 20 minutes north of downtown Portland in Salmon Creek
(Vancouver), Washington.

The Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel (a NACHRI member hospital) in
Portland and its 20,000 visit Peds ED has already broken gound for its 9
story Children's Hospital with a 22 bed Peds ED. Its volumes are up over
17% over the last 2 years. The Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel ED
is the primary clinical site for a brand new ACGME accredited Pediatric
Emergency Medicine Fellowship, along with and Oregon Health and
Science University. Our first fellow began last month and PEM
physicians are expected to participate in fellow training. Clinical
faculty appointment in the department of Emergency Medicine at OHSU is
possible. The Children's ED at Salmon Creek sees 14,000 visits per year
and has grown at a rate of 15% per year since opening. Both ED's are
dedicated peds-only spaces separate from the main ED and are staffed
with dedicated peds ED nurses.

BC/BE PEM physicians with commitment to evidenced-based clinical
practice, patient care and customer service are sought. Experience in
"full acuity range" PEM practice in a community hospital setting is
especially valuable. Pediatric inpatient care at both hospitals is
provided in a family-centered setting on dedicated peds units staffed by
24/7 peds hospitalists and peds nurses. In addition, The Children's
Hospital at Legacy Emanuel has the busiest PICU service in the state w.
peds ECMO, hearts, etc. and offers a full array of all peds

Full-time PEM physicians in our group are full-partnership-track members
of the largest independent, democratic ED group in the Pacific
