We routinely recommend follow-up skull x-rays 6-8 weeks after a diagnosing a skull fracture to rule out the possibility of a "growing fracture" a policy supported by our neurosurgeons. Our head of radiology is wondering if there are any policy statements or protocols in the literature supporting this. Does anyone know of any?

Thanks
