-te is a word in kinyarwanda, meaning 'how', though I don't remember
exactly how it's used...  it can take the 'mu' suffix' (equivalent to
swahili's 'm'), and some speakers say the 'mu' as 'm' (though a lot say
the swahili 'm' as 'mu').  They also have -ti for tree, but not with the
'm' prefix - I think it was igiti, though I don't remember if that's
singular or plural
