All of the novels of the Hebrew Bible would be fun to translate. Tobit has a demon, an angel, and a magical fish. Hurray! Judith’s a warrior woman who chops off Holofernes’ head. Now that’s fun! Plus there are the additions to Daniel – Susanna – a proto-detective story that hinges on a pun in Greek. And Bel and the Dragon has a Dragon. Well, that’s to be expected. I would not recommend every conlanger to try to adapt every story to his or her culture. But it can be fun in some instances. Esther would be fun though. If it can be made into a Veggietales film, than it can probably be adapted to anything.
