Dear all,

In transcriptions of manuscripts of a particular text I am coming across supplements to the text (colophons, trailers, etc.) that are in verse. In one case, at least, hemistichs are separated by a tab, so that so that the verse is laid out in columns:

Hemistich 1A	Hemistich 1B
Hemistich 2A	Hemistich 2B
Hemistich 3A	Hemistich 3B

Is there an efficient way of encoding this? <space> or <gap> are inappropriate here. Would one use <seg> and @rendition or @rend?

Many thanks!
