Here is my version of a runic bookhand, revived (and revised) from at least six years back: https://www.dropbox.com/s/al3ryrnpil0pclz/2014-06-19%2016.06.17.jpg

On the bottom is the uncial version, followed by the “modern" printed forms (derived via Carolingian and humanistic minuscule?), and the original Younger Futhark letters (Swedish/Norwegian variant). (I just realised that I omitted the R rune. Oh well.)

On the top is the first sentence from the Prose Edda: “Almáttigr guð skapaði í upphafi himin ok jörð ok alla þá hluti, er þeim fylgja, og síðast menn tvá, er ættir eru frá komnar, Adam ok Evu, ok fjölgaðist þeira kynslóð ok dreifðist um heim allan.".

I would welcome any suggestions for making the letters more plausible, or more elegant, or (preferably) both.
