Hi guys! 
Catching up on this thread, sorry I'll reply to each email individually

Bertrand: just my tuppence, but I'm not quite comfortable with two things: 

- considering the Vulgate as a witness to the text being edited (that's debatable)
- if we went this way, I would rather use abbr and expan than orig and reg
