Yesterday night, I saw a kid with severe
desquamation of both hands and feet. As you could
suspect, this child had an history compatible with
scarlet fever 10 days ago.
My resident asked me THE question: "Why"....
I am not satisfied with the classic answer: "it is
like a big sunburn" when you know that the rash is
mostly troncular and there is no desquamation at
this site.

Any comments?
