Yes I do, in addition to PO. It reduces from my experience, duration of
time of discharge which is often a nuisance for the parents.
 
Moreover, in chronically draining ears refractory to treatment with oral
antibiotics, pseudomonas & staph. Aureus are a culprit. Using a topical
aminoglycoside helps the former. BTW did you hear, on the same theme,
that norfloxacin suspension has been FDA approved for otic use!
