I'm not sure that Auxlang is the proper place to test this idea, since,
when it comes to ability to puzzle out languages, you're definitely looking
at a biased sample here.
 
Interesting use of "que" in your second paragraph here -- three different
meanings in four appearances, if I'm not mistaken.* Easy for me to figure
out -- English does the same thing with "that" -- but it might be harder
for the uninitiated. Also, just a suggestion -- "de escribir" is almost
certainly more complex than a simple "escribir".
