In the electronic pages of Pediatrics about 6 months ago there was a
description of a model for femoral vein catheterization using
Seldinger technique. I built the model following their directions and
am quite pleased with it. The residents love the opportunity to
familiarize themselves with the equipment and technique. The only
problem is that sometimes the "clay" occludes the lumen on the
introducer needle.

Does anyone have any recommendations regarding realistic facsimile
models for chest tube/needle and femoral seldinger access?

Thanks Tony
