Dear Colleagues,

The following is a recent press release announcement:

Evanston, Illinois, November 1999-The American Theological Library
Association (ATLA), publisher of the ATLA Religion Database, the premier
index to the scholarly literature of religion, is pleased to announce
affiliate status with Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. This new
relationship will allow the Atlanta-based staff of ATLA's Center for
Electronic Resources in Theology and Religion (CERTR) to access Emory's
technological and administrative infrastructure and the extensive historical
collections of the Pitts Theology Library, Candler School of Theology. It
will also provide opportunities for interaction with other Emory affiliates
including the American Academy of Religion, the Society of Biblical
Literature, and the Center for Ethics in Public Policy and the Professions.
CERTR is currently developing ATLA's first major digital full-text journal
project, ATLAS (ATLA Serials), relevant to all theological disciplines. The
URL for the ATLAS Project is http://purl.org/CERTR/ATLAS.
