The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Emory University-
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston has an unexpected opening
for a BC/BE Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician.

The Division currently consists of 18 PEM and 5 urgent care physicians.
Clinical services, and academic and research activities are provided at
two of Atlanta's children's hospitals: Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at
Egleston (formerly Egleston Children's Hospital), on the Emory campus, is
a Pediatric Critical Care and Level 1 Trauma Center with a referral base
covering the entire southeastern US; Hughes Spalding Children's Hospital
is the free-standing pediatric facility of the Grady Health Care System.
There are over 85,000 visits between the two hospitals. Both are pediatric
tertiary centers.

Division members participate in the teaching of students (medical,
mid-level practitioner, paramedic), residents (pediatric, emergency
medicine, family medicine) and community physicians. There is an
accredited PEM fellowship that currently has two fellow/year.

Research opportunities extend beyond the Division to projects with the
CDC, Rollins School of Public Health and the Marcus Center, to name a few.

Eligible candidates may express a preference for clinical or research
emphasis. Faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor
level and salary is commensurate with experience. Employment is through
both Emory University and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Interested candidates should send their c.v. to:
